As Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at Samuels & Associates, Anne Shaughnessy works closely with the chairman and company partners, providing strategic leadership to ensure clear communication, and successful organizational and decision-making practices among the team to allow for seamless operations and the overall continued growth and success of the firm.

Anne joins S&A after a remarkable career at Emerson College, where she served as a core collaborator and partner to four presidents, close advisor to the Board of Trustees, and a skilled leader and manager of special projects and external facing communications and events on behalf of the College. With 27 years of experience in executive management and administration, strategic planning, event creation and execution, and the ability to cultivate and maintain trusted relationships among stakeholders, Anne brings key insight and expertise to the S&A team.

Anne enjoys being outdoors and taking long walks with her dog Georgia, as well as hiking, skiing, biking, and in the summer, relaxing on Cape Cod’s beaches. Born and raised in Boston, she currently resides with her family in Braintree. Anne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Literature & Publishing from Emerson College.
