Since 2016, Paul Leader has been the General Manager of The Verb Hotel, a boutique hotel in the heart of The Fenway that celebrates the neighborhood’s rock-n-roll heritage. He is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the property. Under his leadership, The Verb has achieved a number of hotel management milestones, such as the development of new standard operating procedures and increases in customer service scores, ratings, sales and profits. Says Paul: “I work with the friendliest, most caring people in the coolest hotel that makes guests feel comfortable and as important as rock stars.”
Prior to joining the Samuels team, Paul worked for Crescent Hotels and Resorts as a Task Force General Manager for various properties and Director of Operations for the Washington DC/Rockville Hilton Hotel and Executive Meeting Centre. His long career in hotel operations and hospitality includes experience at Marriott International properties in Maryland and Washington, DC, as well as hotels in the United Kingdom.
Paul holds a degree in Hotel Management from Gloucester University in the United Kingdom. He is a Certified Meeting Planner by the Convention Industry Council and a Certified Tourism Ambassador from Tourism Ambassador Institute. Outside of work, Paul coaches soccer for the Brookline Recreation Department and volunteers for Save the Children and Habitat for Humanity. He also spends time doing DIY projects, dog training, and serving as a personal development coach and mentor.
