Since 2019, Michal Penek has served as the General Manager of Pierce Boston, The Fenway’s newest luxury tower that debuted in March 2018. She uses her years of hospitality experience at some of the best-known hotel names in the industry to provide residents with a top-of-the-line luxury experience and ensure the building’s financial success. She views her hotel experience as a perfect fit for Pierce Boston’s experiential approach to luxury living and looks forward to transitioning to real estate.

Prior to joining the Samuels team, Michal had a long career at Kimpton Hotels. As General Manager of their Nine Zero, Onyx, and Marlow properties, she was responsible for overseeing and implementing the properties’ strategic plans and development. Michal also served in numerous roles at the busy Hilton Boston Logan Airport, including Director of Rooms and Guest Services.

During her time at Kimpton Hotels, she was honored with the Kimpton Individuality Award in 2015. In 2016, she was honored as a Woman of Influence by the Boston Business Journal. She serves on the board of advisors at Community Work Services, an organization that helps people who face barriers to work obtain employment and achieve self-sufficiency through innovative job training, placement and support services.

Michal was born in Israel and then lived in Spain for a few years. She moved to the United States in 2003 and has lived here ever since. Michal holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank, spending time with her family, and helping her husband run Pitstop BBQ, a small restaurant in Wakefield.
