John Grady oversees the planning, construction, and installation for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for all Samuels & Associates’ properties. John is responsible for managing MEP sub-contractors as well as the entire installation of MEP systems from selecting sub-contractors to commissioning of systems.
Prior to joining the Samuels team in 2019, John was a MEP / VDC manager at Commodore Builders and has held positions at several construction and contracting firms across the Greater Boston region. His expansive portfolio includes 110 Broad Street The Boulevard, a boutique luxury condo building, many of Biogen’s Chemistry Labs, and several LEED Platinum certified projects for Harvard and Tufts University.
John started working in construction as a project engineer on the Ted Williams Tunnel. The landmark project inspired him to continually pursue Boston developments throughout his career, connecting design to construction along the way with a passion of efficiency for the workers in it.
John and his wife Kari love life on the family farm in Princeton, MA raising goats and spending as much time with their 5 children and 2 grandchildren. He holds an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Becker College and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He has earned certifications from the Lean Construction Institute and OSHA.
