The Marketing Manager, reporting to the Marketing Director, will be responsible for drafting strategic marketing programs through to execution, which directly tie to Samuels & Associates business goals, specific to property management. The Marketing Manager will drive all aspects of marketing to support on-site property leadership and communication across assets, with a focus on website management and analytics to support traffic and lease conversion through monthly audits, content updates, and SEO/SEM strategy. The role also includes ongoing brand management and development, including social media channels for select properties.

The Marketing Manager will collaborate with the Director of Property Operations, Area Managers, and building General Management to understand their business goals and draft marketing-specific KPIs and goals per property, including recommended budget. A successful candidate will be experienced in leveraging various communications channels to reach target audiences during the residential leasing cycle. A track record in website management/analytics, multifamily real estate marketing and a demonstrated passion for community building is preferred. Quarterly and annual goal reviews will be implemented to stay on track of on-going progress.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Asset Marketing:
    • Website management (monthly audits, edits to photo/copy, troubleshooting) for 10 assets
    • Website analytics, including SEO and SEM tracking and management for 10 stabilized assets
    • Manage ads and Google My Business reviews
    • Marketing initiatives and consulting on plans across portfolio
    • Branding efforts (rebrand, collateral, design, flyers, signage, source photo vendors)
    • Updates to leasing specials on ILS, website
    • ILS management/sourcing
    • Project manage and facilitate between web developer, designer, and asset management team
    • Retail support across portfolio (including marketing planning, events, communication)
    • Collateral, flyer and signage creation/production
    • Residential/office/retail communication (including COVID updates, event promotion, holiday hours, etc.)
    • Resident/office technology sourcing and demo
    • Data management
    • Event planning and execution for residential/office assets
    • Evaluate, ideate and make recommendations to improve resident lifecycle
    • Manage either directly or indirectly via property management, property-dedicated social media (approve content plans and ads, support strategy on 3 property channels)
  • Development Marketing:
    • In direct concert with the development team, drive brand creation and management as related to new developments
    • Manage external creative agencies from brief through to engagement
    • Support leasing teams through various stages of construction and delivery
  • 2-3 years of prior marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline required
  • Experience in real estate/development industry, multifamily residential preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to adapt to different communication styles
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite (familiarity with Mac is a plus)
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Experience managing vendors, freelancers, external partners, and agencies preferred
  • Experience across CMS (Drupal, WordPress, and Site Manager preferred)
  • Familiarity with Yardi CRM preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Strong project/time management, organizational, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills
