Samuels & Associates is seeking a Marketing Intern, whose role will focus on supporting the development and execution of impactful social media strategies across channels with an emphasis on content creation, community management, follower acquisition and engagement, as well as assistance with the planning, coordinating, and execution of portfolio programming and special events. Social Media Management & Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with Social / Digital Manager to brainstorm unique content ideas that align with our brand pillars, as well as conceptualize and plan monthly content calendars and larger-scale campaigns.
  • Assist in day-to-day planning, social copywriting, and developing social creative assets, including photo and video content for IG (Posts, Stories, Reels), Facebook, and TikTok. Attend events and programs as needed in order to capture desired content.
  • Execute day-to-day social media community management, focused on audience growth and engagement. Maintain consistent tone and voice in comments and DMs across all social channels.
  • Keep a constant finger on the pulse of social media/pop culture trends across industries, and pitch ideas on how to integrate our portfolio brand(s) in a dynamic way.
  • Build relationships with local retail tenants and neighborhood stakeholders in order to inspire our digital initiatives and effectively promote what’s happening throughout our portfolio.
  • Catalogue and leverage UGC and influencer relations for additional social content, and coordinate usage rights. Support in managing influencer campaigns and developing network of local influencer ambassadors.
  • Maintain organization of photo/video library. Identify photography needs and assist with photoshoot coordination: draft shot lists, coordinate location approvals, photography releases, etc.
  • Collaborate with Social / Digital Manager to develop and create insights on weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to pull high-level takeaways and action items to share with the broader Marketing team. Drive proactive reporting and insights based on what content delivered the most engagement and performance.

Event Coordination Support:

  • The Marketing Intern will also play a crucial role in supporting our efforts to activate the Fenway neighborhood through community programming and special events. The intern will support the Events and Activations Coordinator with the day-to-day needs of our programming sites, including The Green at 401 Park and The Station. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to: support vendor management, maintain event calendar, manage event forms, execute physical signage placement, facilitate event deliveries, etc.

  • Experienced in creating content across social channels for either a brand or personal channel.
  • Must have strong copywriting and communication skills.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Adobe Pro CC is a plus
  • Must have strong understanding of the digital landscape and emerging social media trends.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and deadline driven.
  • A successful candidate is independent, proactive, and always ideating ways to enhance what we do to drive engagement and retention, while having the skillset to logistically execute ideas and effectively collaborate. This candidate is a multi-tasking, self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environment and willing to be “hands on” when needed.
  • Ability to commute to our Boston headquarters regularly, with occasional trips to properties within our Metro Boston region portfolio as needed.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule is required.
  • Evening and weekend hours are frequently required based on programming and special event schedules.
  • Interest/experience in CRE industry is a plus

This position may require Breaking Down/Setting up physical items that we host.  Applicant must have the ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to (approx.) 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the properties/sites.
