The Graphic Designer is S&A’s in-house graphics expert working on an array of design and promotion projects across the company. Highly creative with a sharp eye for detail, this individual will design captivating and action-worthy promotional tools that drive traffic to our neighborhoods, retailers, properties, events, and tell a story. The Graphic Designer will elevate existing visual tools and create news ones that inspire consumers and businesses alike to seek us out and will be a strategic force creating a sense of neighborhood, fun, energy and community in The Fenway.

 

REPORTS TO: SVP, Creative & Marketing Strategy

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Work alongside driven and creative marketing team, contribute to the creative energy as the company’s in-house graphics expert, working on a variety of design projects across many channels and departments
  • Translate events, programs, and ideas into visual language; maintain and improve the visual aesthetics and user experience on our websites, media, promotional material, and any place S&A can do better graphically
  • Develop and manage new brand execution, rollout developed brands, update or evolve brand expressions as required
  • Create exceptional design work across all consumer and public-facing touch points, including retail counter promotional collateral, advertising, banners, construction signage, and other promotional mediums; work with third party design consultants as needed
  • Create tools, imagery, and presentation templates that effectively and creatively convey the right information on-brand; support all departments as needed with presentations
  • Creation of branded and formatted eblasts and various communication templates for stabilized properties as needed, ensuring uniformity in communications (residential and asset as needed)
  • Develop or provide direction on leasing collateral (brochures, eblast templates, invitations, etc), work with third party leasing brokers as needed; manage teams, update, and refresh B2B materials; business presentations for external audience
  • Design, customize and update residential collateral to support resident gift journey; design new residential operations flyers, cards, leave-behinds, take-aways, and other pieces as needed
  • Ensure the organization’s adherence to established branding standards for all assets in the portfolio; responsible for the brand identity across all internal and external channels, including: leasing materials, executive presentations, collateral, signage, event materials, advertising and more
  • Create compelling visuals for all social media accounts and work closely with Social Media and Digital Manager to optimize each channel’s engagement; consult on website design and digital graphic best practices
  • Work closely with Marketing Communications Coordinator to translate needed communications into compelling visual calls-to-action that are memorable, beautiful, buzz-worthy and on-brand
  • Co-manage photography library and engage photographer to secure assets as needed for other design projects
  • Provide support to staff around special events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills
  • You have at least 5 years of experience related to advertising, promotions, and communications that rely on your ability to meets deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders from all backgrounds (i.e. tenants, staff, and neighborhood partners)
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors, success sourcing new vendors (i.e. various print shops or similar production companies based on the unique needs of a project) to ensure a menu of resources to deliver what and when needed
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously; self-motivated and confident
  • You are passionate about design and connecting through it, and storytelling is in your DNA
  • You understand the power of design in advertising, and excel at communicating clearly through graphics
  • Experience effectively executing against brand guidelines and maintaining brand standards
  • You are enthusiastic and an energy-giver that finds it thrilling when you conceptualize ideas that no one else could
  • Stand out portfolio of graphic and color design work; exceptional eye for typography
  • Works with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Video, drone knowledge, and print production a plus
  • Experience in real estate industry a plus
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
